Job Description:
We are looking for a Site Supervisor to oversee and manage on-site operations for our projects. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising construction or facility operations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating all activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate should be organized, reliable, and possess excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Supervision:
- Oversee day-to-day operations on the worksite, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to project plans.
- Supervise and manage a team of workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all work activities are performed safely and comply with relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and ensure that workers have the proper protective equipment.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Address any quality issues or defects in the work and take corrective action.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Develop and manage work schedules to ensure that the project is completed on time.
- Coordinate with other supervisors, teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Materials & Equipment Management:
- Monitor and manage the use of materials, tools, and equipment to ensure there is no waste and that resources are available when needed.
- Track inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain daily logs and reports of site activities, project progress, and any incidents or delays.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and upper management on project status, issues, and developments.
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
- Address on-site issues or conflicts, ensuring that they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Proactively identify potential issues and suggest solutions to avoid delays or complications.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate with clients, providing updates on progress and addressing concerns.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality work on time.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor, or in a similar supervisory role in construction or facilities management.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams, coordinating activities, and motivating workers.
- Knowledge of Safety Regulations:
- Solid knowledge of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, etc.) and the ability to enforce them on-site.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple tasks and deadlines on the job site.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capability to resolve issues on-site and make quick decisions.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interacting with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Physical Stamina:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and be physically active on-site.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus).
- Construction or site management certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are preferred.
